Cowboys NRL team list: Round 23 v Broncos

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys co-captain Reuben Cotter is on track to return from concussion in Saturday’s XXXX Derby blockbuster against the Brisbane Broncos at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

Cotter missed last week’s victory over the Wests Tigers, after a nasty head knock a week earlier against the Sharks.

The 25-year-old has been named at lock, with Harrison Edwards moving back to the interchange.

Jake Granville will miss the Broncos clash after sustaining a pec injury against the Tigers. Granville is awaiting scan results to determine the extent of the injury.

Meanwhile fellow Life Member Jason Taumalolo received good news with regards to his cheekbone injury, with the Cowboys forward avoiding surgery, which should see him return before the end of the regular season.

Jeremiah Nanai will wear jersey No.24 on Saturday, with the No.12 retired in honour of Carl Webb. North Queensland will wear a Charity Jersey for the match, which is a replica of the Cowboys’ 2005 jersey, Webb’s first season at the club. Cowboys and Broncos players will also compete for the Carl Webb Medal, which will be presented to the Man of the Match.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 5.30pm.
