Cowboys team list: Round 24 v Dragons

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys skipper Jason Taumalolo and wingers Kyle Feldt and Murray Taulagi are set to return from injury for Saturday afternoon’s clash with St George Illawarra in Rockhampton.

Taumalolo missed the previous two games with a broken hand, while Taulagi was also sidelined for a fortnight through concussion. Feldt was a late scratching for Saturday’s tussle with Parramatta after failing a HIA the previous week.

Valentine Holmes and Taumalolo are both set for career firsts following the new look line-up named by Head Coach Todd Payten.

The return of Feldt and Taulagi will see Holmes unleashed at centre for the first time in his 135 NRL games, while Taumalolo starts at prop for first time in 12 seasons in the top grade.

Reuben Cotter starts at lock after a sensational return from a four-month injury lay off in Round 23. Cotter replaces Coen Hess, who picked up a bicep strain against Parramatta. Hess will be assessed early next week to determine his availability for the season finale against Manly.

Griffin Neame returns from a one-game suspension on the interchange.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 3pm.
