Cowboys team list: Round 1 v Dolphins
Zac Laybutt has won the race for the vacant right centre spot in Todd Payten’s Round 1 squad for the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys season-opening showdown with The Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Laybutt will partner Cowboys veteran Kyle Feldt on the right edge, with Murray Taulagi and Valentine Holmes to continue their lethal left-side combination.
Heilum Luki is due for his maiden Round 1 starting berth, partnering Jeremiah Nanai in the second row.
Sam McIntyre and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki have claimed the final two interchange spots on the back of impressive Pre-Season Challenge performances.

Sunday’s fixture marks the first official outing for new Cowboys skippers Tom Dearden and Reuben Cotter, with Dearden to become the youngest captain in club history at just 22-years-old.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 3pm (QLD).
