Cowboys team list: Round 10 v Roosters

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Head Coach Todd Payten has named an unchanged 17 for Saturday’s Magic Round clash with the Sydney Roosters at Suncorp Stadium.

Cowboys skipper Jason Taumalolo is set to play his landmark 200th NRL match at Magic Round.

The 27-year-old will become just the eighth North Queensland player to reach the milestone, which also earns Taumalolo automatic Cowboys Life Membership.

As per last week’s late change, Mitch Dunn will start in the second row with Ben Condon moving to the interchange.

Dunn is set to fight a contrary conduct charge at the judiciary on Tuesday night, but will be free to play no matter the outcome.

Javid Bowen holds his spot at centre after an impressive showing in his first NRL game in almost two years in the Round 9 victory over the Broncos.

Jake Clifford also remains at halfback on the back of his terrific performance in the XXXX Derby.

Utility back Daejarn Asi makes his first appearance in Payten’s 21-man squad for 2021 after overcoming a calf complaint.

Asi has been named in the reserves alongside forwards Corey Jensen and Tom Gilbert as well as winger Kane Bradley.

Young forward Peter Hola drops out of the squad due to a one-week suspension for a shoulder charge in the Queensland Cup.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 7.45pm
