Coen Hess will become just the 11th player to appear in 200 games for the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and the club’s 14th Life Member when he takes the field against The Dolphins at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Saturday evening.
The 29-year-old joins an illustrious group to register 200 games for North Queensland, including current teammate Jason Taumalolo as well as former teammates Johnathan Thurston, Matt Scott, Gavin Cooper, Scott Bolton, Kyle Feldt and Jake Granville. Paul Bowman, Matt Bowen and Aaron Payne round out the Cowboys’ 200-club.
The majority of the club’s Life Members are expected to be in attendance on Saturday to form a guard of honour when Hess takes the field.
Cowboys Co-Captain Reuben Cotter has been named to return after being rested for the trip to Canberra.
Soni Luke has also been named to return from a knee injury.
Prop Tom Mikaele has been cleared of any substantial knee injury and is expected to take his place to face The Dolphins.
