Jason Taumalolo will equal Johnathan Thurston for the most appearances in North Queensland Toyota Cowboys history when he takes the field to face the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Friday night at Accor Stadium.
It will mark Taumalolo’s 294th appearance in Cowboys colours, equaling the record set by Thurston in his final career game in Round 25 of the 2018 season.
Taumalolo will reach the mark a little under 16 years after his NRL debut in Round 24 of the 2010 season, which remarkably also came against the Bulldogs when he was a student at Kirwan State High School.
Winger Murray Taulagi will miss the Bulldogs clash through concussion, with Zac Laybutt recalled to the side.
Friday’s game kicks off at 6pm.
