Five key stats from Saturday's XXXX Derby win

We take a look at some of the key stats to come out of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys 40-26 XXXX Derby win over the Brisbane Broncos. 


The number of points scored by Valentine Holmes after he was a perfect 8/8 with the boot. The Queensland Maroons centre has scored 149 points for the season, overtaking Ryan Papenhuyzen to sit atop the NRL points tally.


The number of points the Cowboys scored in Saturday’s win, the most in a game since North Queensland defeated Parramatta 44-6 in Round 24, 2018. The Cowboys have scored at least 30 points in nine games so far this season.


The number of tackles breaks by the Cowboys, the most by North Queensland since they had 55 in their last against Cronulla in Round 15, 2021. Murray Taulagi (7), Kyle Feldt (6), Luciano Leilua (5), Jason Taumalolo (5) and Scott Drinkwater (5) led the way for the home side.


The team-high number of running metres by winger Kyle Feldt. In his return from a knee injury, the 30-year-old also made two line breaks, six tackle breaks and scored a try.


The number of fans that came through the gates at Queensland Country Bank Stadium – the highest for a Cowboys home game since Round 24, 2018.
