NRL team list: Round 3 v Titans

Front-rower Jordan McLean will captain the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys in Friday night’s NRL season resumption against the Gold Coast Titans at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

McLean takes the reins from regular skipper Michael Morgan, who continues to recover from shoulder surgery. Jason Taumalolo has been elevated to the vice-captaincy.

Young gun Jake Clifford starts at halfback in Morgan’s absence, partnering Scott Drinkwater in the halves.

Gavin Cooper will also miss the Titans clash with a calf injury, with Mitch Dunn to start in the second row alongside Coen Hess.

Your chance to say welcome back

It’s been a long few weeks for the boys stuck in the bubble between training and home.

But it will all be worth it on Friday night when they take the field for the first time since the shutdown.

Even though you can’t be there cheering them on, you can be with them in spirit by sending them a message.

Fill out the form below and we’ll put it in a book for them to read in the change room before our clash against the Gold Coast Titans.

We’re stronger together North Queensland – thanks for sending a message from your home to ours!

Entries close 12pm Thursday.
