Payten on why JT didn't want him as the NYC coach in 2014

In the inaugural episode of North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Then & Now Podcast, host Peter Parr joins Head Coach Todd Payten to discuss a range of topics, including his debut with the Raiders as a 17-year-old, the circumstances that lead to him being paid by three clubs at once and the road to the 2005 Grand Final.

The two then talk about the training injury that cost Payten a Kangaroos jersey in 2010, coaching the Wests Tigers Under 20s to a title in his first year as head coach in 2012, why Johnathan Thurston didn't want the club to sign him as the NYC coach in 2014, and his decision to knock back the head coaching role at the New Zealand Warriors in 2020.
