The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are proud to unveil the club’s new 2027 Home Jersey, combining tradition with ambition in the next evolution of the blue and the grey.
Following two seasons featuring a predominantly white jersey at home to mark the club’s 30th anniversary celebrations, the Cowboys return to a primarily navy kit for 2027. The jersey incorporates a contemporary version of the heritage stripes made famous on the club’s inaugural jersey in 1995, creating a strong connection between past and present.

A standout feature is the return of a traditional style grey collar, blending tradition with modern performance, while proudly reinforcing the Cowboys identity as ‘the blue and the grey.’
Narrated by Premiership-winning Co-Captain Matt Scott, the hero video piece unites club legends with the current playing group, bringing together over three decades of Cowboys history.
Scott joined forces with inaugural Cowboys Captain Laurie Spina, alongside current Co-Captain Reuben Cotter and teammates Heilum Luki and Tom Chester, showcasing the passion, pride and connection from multiple generations across the club’s journey.
Filmed at a cattle station on the outskirts of Townsville, the jersey launch features players born and bred in North Queensland, highlighting the club’s enduring connection to the region and communities it represents.

The club would also like to acknowledge the support of all valued jersey partners, including principal partner Toyota, along with BRAVUS Australia, YETI and TAFE Queensland for working closely with the Cowboys and apparel partner Dynasty Sport to collectively create a cohesive design that reflects the club’s identity.
Further marking the club’s deep ties to the region, player-edition on-field jerseys incorporate a gripper pattern drawing inspiration from North Queensland’s extensive waterways. On the upper back, ‘Est 1995’ sits beneath the iconic Cowboys bullhorn, paying tribute to the club’s foundation and original crest.
For Cowboys football club CEO Micheal Luck, the jersey captures the club’s identity as it prepares for an exciting 2027 season.
“Our Home Jersey represents the connection to our people and our region, and it was important for us to retain some elements of tradition,” he said.
“We are the blue and the grey, and the stripes on our jersey provide a clear link to the foundation of our club while we look to build towards the future.
“It’s great to be able to bring back the traditional collar as well. It’s been a popular addition for our players and fans for special occasions in recent years, and it’s fitting to see it become a permanent feature on our primary jersey.
“We’re looking forward to the season ahead and it will be special to see our team run out in front of our members and fans in a jersey that so proudly represents our identity.”
