Power named to make Origin debut this Friday night

North Queensland Toyota Gold Star Shaniah Power has been named on the bench for the Queensland Maroons in this Friday night’s standalone women’s State of Origin at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Power, 23, continues her incredible 2020 season, having earlier this year made her Indigenous All Stars and NRLW debuts.

The Bowen product will aim to help Queensland secure their first women’s Origin win since 2014.

Friday night’s match kicks off at 6.45pm (Qld time), with the game being broadcast live on Channel 9.
