The McLean's member moment

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have had a place in the NRL and in the hearts of fans and members for over 20 years, leaving many with lasting memories.

"There are too many!" was the answer given by Karen McLean when prompted to share her favourite member moment. Karen and her husband Ian have been members for over 13 years, and have plenty of memories of the Cowboys to share.

"We have so many favourite moments – but one of my most memorable moments was when we got into the first semi-final with the Cowboys v Broncos game back in 2005. We love the rivalry with the Broncos. We went to the most memorable game of them all – the 2015 NRL Grand Final."

Karen and Ian are business owners who live in Townsville and have been married for 34 years. They share an admiration of the Cowboys, who have been a part of their family for many years.

"They're a great team and we've been following them right from the start, with our kids when we used to sit on the hill. We became members after that and have stayed members ever since."

When recounting their experiences after 13 years of membership with the Cowboys, it's not just the on-field performance that they remember.

"They're a wonderful team. They just help people in the community. It's really tremendous to see how family-focused the Cowboys are."

After seeing JT be part of the Cowboys since 2005, the McLean's reflect on his legacy as the end of his final season approaches.

"I'll be sad to see him leave – he's a great player and a great person."

Thanks to Karen and Ian for being a part of the Cowboys family since 2005!
