North Queensland Toyota Cowboys coach Paul Green has named teenage backrower Coen Hess to make his National Rugby League debut in the Round 24 clash with the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium this Saturday.

Hess, who turned 19 last Friday, was named on the bench for the Warriors match, and will become the 256th player to don the Cowboys’ colours in the top grade.

Backrower John Asiata will start in place of the injured Gavin Cooper, who will sit out one match with an eye socket injury.

Kick-off for the Warriors game is at 7:30pm New Zealand time (5.30pm Queensland time) on Saturday, 22 August.
