Introduction
1. The Promoter is Cowboys Rugby League Football Limited, the Hutchinson Builders Centre, 26 Graham Murray Place, Railway Estate QLD 4810. ABN: 28 060 382 961.
2. These terms and conditions apply to the ‘StreetSmarts Beer Goggles Challenge’ competition, including the process we will use to select the competitors. In these terms and conditions, we will refer to the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys as ‘the Cowboys’, ‘us’, ‘we and ‘our’. We will refer to a promotion participant as a ‘competitor’, ‘participant’, ‘entrant’, ‘you’ and ‘your’. We will refer to the ‘StreetSmarts Beer Goggles Challenge’ Competition as ‘the promotion’ and ‘the competition’. By participating in this promotion, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and understood these terms and conditions. Nothing in these terms and conditions amends, limits or excludes any rights or remedies that you may have under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot lawfully be amended, limited or excluded.

3. In this Collection Statement "we", "us", "our" and "Cowboys" means North Queensland Cowboys, its associates, related entities and subsidiaries. Please read this Collection Statement and our related Privacy Policy located at https://www.cowboys.com.au/privacy-policy carefully as it describes how we will collect, hold, use and disclose your Personal Information. Capitalised terms in this Collection Statement have the meaning given to such terms in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

5. Please be aware that you are under no obligation to provide us with your Personal Information, and you may request we delete any Personal Information we hold about you at any time.

Purpose of collection
7. Cowboys collects, uses, discloses or holds Personal Information that is reasonably necessary for Cowboys to perform one or more of its functions or activities set out below:
(a) organisation, conduct and promotion of matches involving North Queensland Cowboys (for instance, providing you information about upcoming ticket offers and deals for the next home matches);
(b) promotion and sale of North Queensland Cowboys merchandise;
(c) direct marketing of North Queensland Cowboys products or services;
(d) complying with the NRL Rules; and
(e) conducting our other functions including entertainment, community engagement and support, sponsorship, hospitality, training and education.
8. Consequences of your refusal to provide personal information
9. The main consequence if you do not provide Cowboys with your Personal Information is that we will not be able to provide you with information about our upcoming matches and the products and services we provide, including things such as discount offers, ticketing and exciting initiatives we are undertaking.
Disclosure to third parties
10. Cowboys may disclose your Personal Information to (without limitation):
(a) delivery, courier and postal organizations: we may disclose your Personal Information to delivery, courier and postal organizations in order to deliver merchandise you order;
(b) the NRL, Queensland Rugby League, New South Wales Rugby League, Country Rugby League of NSW and selected third parties (for instance, Ticketek and Ticketmaster): we may disclose your Personal Information as part of the Rugby League Exchange (to see more information about the Rugby League Exchange, please visit the NRL Privacy Policy). The NRL and selected third parties may send you information about products and services that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive information from the NRL, please opt out from such promotional and marketing information via your NRL account, links in emails and other communication we send to you from time to time or contact the NRL's Privacy Officer in accordance with the NRL Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to receive information from other selected third parties, please opt out from such promotional and marketing information as part of the relevant organisation's preference centre;
(c) law enforcement and emergency services agencies: we may disclose your Personal Information where required or authorized to do so by law, including in emergency situations and to assist law enforcement agencies with active investigations. We will always ensure that those to whom we disclose your Personal Information have the legal right to receive it; and
(d) marketing and promotions: we engage email marketing providers, market research companies, promotions management and other data analytics companies to perform direct marketing on our behalf. You will always have the right to opt out of receiving promotional materials from us.
11. The type of Personal Information we may disclose to those third parties includes (without limitation) your name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, favourite players and any other Personal Information collected that is relevant to the purpose of the disclosure. Other than overseas recipients (see clause 5), we ensure that any organisation to which we disclose your Personal Information implements appropriate information security safeguards and protections in accordance with applicable privacy laws (including the Privacy Act and GDPR). In certain circumstances, we may disclose your Personal Information if and when required to do so by law, for example, to assist law enforcement agencies with their inquiries.
Transborder data flows
12. We may disclose your Personal Information to overseas recipients for things such as processing membership and hosting services. The most likely destinations for such activities are China, Singapore, the United States and New Zealand, although countries where such recipients are located may vary. By accepting this Collection Statement and providing the Cowboys with your Personal Information, you are providing express consent for the Cowboys to disclose your Personal Information overseas. You are aware that by providing such consent, the Cowboys will cease to be accountable for the overseas recipient's handling of your Personal Information under applicable privacy laws (including the Privacy Act and GDPR) and that you will not be able to seek redress from the Cowboys under applicable privacy laws (including the Privacy Act and GDPR) in relation to that use of your Personal Information overseas.

Promotion details
17. Entry to the competition opens 8am AEST on Tuesday 12 May 2026 and closes 12pm AEST on Tuesday 19 May 2026 (Promotional Period).
18. The Promotion comprises entrants to complete an entry form for the chance to participate in an on-field challenge during halftime at the Cowboys v Rabbitohs match at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Sunday 24 May 2026.
19. The on-field activation will involve four competitors (two teams of two) completing a series of on-field skills challenges whilst wearing the StreetSmarts Beer Goggles.
20. The team of two that wins the on-field challenge will win a Cowboys Money Can’t Buy Experience.
Judging
21. The on-field race will be adjudicated by a third party.
22. The adjudicator will determine which competitor has won the challenge.
23. The adjudicator’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into on the result of the on-field race.
Prize pool
24. The winning winning team will win a Cowboys Money Can’t Buy Experience.
25. Each of the competitors for the on-field challenge will receive a ticket to Cowboys v Rabbitohs on 24 May 2026.
26. Any prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The Cowboys accept no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Cowboys make no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, or merchantability of the prizes.
27. The Cowboys is not responsible for any liability, loss or damage arising out of the use or enjoyment of the prizes.
28. The winners indemnify the Cowboys against any liability, loss or damage arising out of the use or enjoyment of any prizes.
Entry method:
29. To enter the promotion, individuals must complete the following steps during the Promotional period:
a) Visit https://www.cowboys.com.au/streetsmarts-beer-goggles-challenge/
b) Input the requested personal details in the form;
c) Submit the fully completed entry form.
30. Entries are restricted to one (1) per person.
31. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
Entry eligibility requirements:
32. Entrants must be Australian residents aged 18 years or over.
33. Entrants must be available to participate in an on-field challenge at the Cowboys v Rabbitohs NRL match at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Saturday 24 May 2026.
34. Any travel, accommodation or out-of-pocket costs accrued by participants to compete in the Promotion will be at their own expense.
35. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
Selection of competitors:
36. Two competitors for the on-field activation will be determined by a draw at Cowboys HQ, Hutchinson Builders Centre, 26 Graham Murray Place, Railway Estate QLD 4810 at 12:30 pm AEST on Tuesday 19 May 2026. Winners will be notified by email or phone on the day of the draw and will each be required to organise a teammate to compete in the challenge.
37. If a competitor is not contactable, they will forfeit their selection for that game.
38. If the competitor cannot confirm their ability to participate at the time of our call, they will forfeit their selection for the on-field activation.
39. If a competitor forfeits their position in the on-field activation for any reason, another competitor will be randomly drawn from eligible entries if time allows.
40. If a competitor forfeits after gates open on the day of their game, the Cowboys reserves the right to select a competitor from outside of the entry pool (i.e. a member of the public) to ensure the competition can proceed at half-time.
41. On game day, the competitors must arrive 90 minutes before kick-off to meet their Cowboys contact. If this does not happen, the competitor will be disqualified from the promotion, and the Cowboys will draw another entrant from the entry pool or the crowd.
42. The Promoter’s decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Promotion requirements
43. Unless excluded by law, Cowboys shall not be liable for any loss, injury, death, or damage to persons or property which at any time may be suffered or sustained by the competitor taking part in the Promotion.
44. By entering this Promotion, you acknowledge and agree that you accept this risk.
General
45. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
46. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
47. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
48. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
49. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
50. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) if the 2025 NRL Cowboys v Tigers match on Saturday 31 May 2025 is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (g) participation in the prize.
51. As a condition of accepting the prize, a/the winner (and their companion) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
Privacy and communication:
52. Entrants have the option to subscribe to Cowboys email marketing lists.
53. Entrants can unsubscribe from Cowboys emails at any time by visiting the preference centre or following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every Cowboys email.
54. It is a condition of participation that you give your consent to the Cowboys its affiliates and agents, to use your image and likeness and/or any interview statements in our publications, advertising or other media activities (including the Internet), without compensation or other remuneration, now or in the future.
