Scott Drinkwater and Makenzie Weale have tonight been named the NRL and NRLW Players' Player of the Year at the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Presentation Night at the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre.
Drinkwater's win is his second Players' Player award, following his victory in 2023.
The 29-year-old capped off a remarkable final season in North Queensland, leading the NRL with 33 line-break assists and finishing fourth with 25 try assists.
In 25 games, Drinkwater recorded 10 tries, 89 tackle breaks and nine line breaks, while averaging 146 running metres per game.
Weale enjoyed her finest season in North Queensland in 2026 and was rewarded with her first major club honour.
The 24-year-old led the NRLW with 427 tackles at an outstanding efficiency rate of 93 per cent.
Weale also averaged 141 running metres per game, while scoring three tries and breaking 23 tackles.
