Five key stats: Round 21 v Eels

We take a look at five key stats from the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys 24-16 win over the Parramatta Eels on Saturday night. 


The number of consecutive games the Cowboys have won. It is only the second time since 2015 that North Queensland have strung together six wins in a row. Over the past half a dozen games, the Cowboys have scored 220 points and conceded just 73, increasing their for and against by 147 points.


The number of tries Semi Valemei has scored in his six games with the Cowboys. The Fijian International has also run for 983 metres, including 329 post-contact, since making the move to North Queensland.


The number of tackle breaks by Scott Drinkwater on Saturday night, the second time he’s hit double digits in his last four games. In his last five games the 26-year-old has run for 1,034 metres, scored six tries, had nine try assists and broken 36 tackles.


The number of minutes the Cowboys played with just two players on the bench following Griffin Neame’s failed HIA and Jeremiah Nanai’s shoulder injury. 


The Cowboys' completion rate on Saturday night, the 11th time this season the team has completed at 80% or higher. North Queensland has the second-best completion rate in the competition at 80.4% in 2023, trailing only the Penrith Panthers.
