2019 season review: Kyle Feldt

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys suffered a huge blow on the eve of the season when Kyle Feldt suffered a groin injury at training.

He would miss the opening two months of the season before making his 2019 debut in the Magic Round clash with South Sydney.

Feldt immediately added an attacking spark to the Cowboys backline, crossing for five tries in his first five games.

Despite missing eight games, he finished as the Cowboys leading try scorer for a fourth consecutive season.

Feldt finished the season in outstanding fashion, scoring four tries in the Cowboys’ final three games, including a crucial double in the Round 23 victory over Penrith.

The 27-year-old was rewarded for his strong season with a spot in the Prime Minister’s XIII for the clash with Fiji on Friday, October 11.
