Cowboys launch membership at North Queensland Stadium

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have today taken a big step in the journey to transitioning their members to the new North Queensland Stadium from 2020.

The club has launched its 2019 membership program on location at the North Queensland Stadium site in Townsville, as construction continues on the 25,000-seat, multi-purpose venue scheduled for completion in time for the start of the 2020 NRL season.

With just one season left at the Cowboys inaugural home ground of 1300SMILES Stadium, the club is preparing members for the move to their new gathering place.

Members who renew or sign up for full-season membership in 2019 can enjoy the benefits of their 12-game membership in the current venue, but will also have priority access to their 'best-equivalent' seat in the new stadium in 2020.

Cowboys Acting CEO Jeff Reibel was delighted to visit the stadium site with full-season member Craig Hannay for this important club milestone.

"Our 2019 membership program is the first step in relocating our valued members from 1300SMILES Stadium to our state-of-the-art venue," Mr Reibel said.

"By joining in 2019 our members will be cementing their memories at our inaugural ground while securing their chance to be part of history at our new home in 2020."

The club began membership renewals in July, and is launching the full-season offering now to give new members and fans more time to sign up before the Cowboys membership team begins the 'best-equivalent seat' transition process.

Cowboys Head of Corporate and Consumer Partnerships Dean Payne said the team was
looking forward to starting the conversation with members about their new seats from early 2019.

"We'll be talking to our members about their 2019 seat's line of sight and field position within 1300SMILES Stadium, compared to the seating configuration of the new stadium," Mr Payne said.

"The final location of a member's seat will be based on a number of factors, including the release of the final seating map.

"Our member transition process has been designed to reward loyalty and continue our 'members first' approach and we're very excited to be starting this journey with our members."

Full-season memberships for 2019 are available as Diamond Star, Platinum Star and Gold Star (reserved and general admission) packages.

Supporter (non-ticketed) memberships are also available now, including Super Star, Rising Star (junior) and combined memberships with feeder clubs Townsville Blackhawks, Northern Pride and Mackay Cutters.

Multi-game and single-game memberships will also be released over the coming months.
