North Queensland Toyota Cowboys head coach Paul Green believes it may be time to look at making some changes to his line-up following Saturday night's loss to the Parramatta Eels in Darwin.
After committing 20 errors against the Eels, Green said he would consider giving players from the Queensland Cup an opportunity moving forward, starting with Friday night's clash against the Warriors at 1300SMILES Stadium.
"I have stuck solid with some of the players for quite a while now, and we haven't been getting it done," Green said.
"We definitely need to look at changing up some combinations to get things happening."
A frustrated Green says that confidence has been an issue all season, and that losing is starting to become a habit.
"We didn't get off to the start that we wanted, so you question your confidence," Green said.
"Unfortunately we have more [losing habits] than winning ones.
"We just need to work really hard to get those winning habits going."
Coming off a confidence-boosting win against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles the previous week, Green believes concentration is a big factor in the team's inconsistent form in 2018.
"We need to worry less about the whole season, and focus more on the week-to-week stuff at the moment," Green said.
"Coming off a win last week that was one of the best that we have been involved with, to a really disappointing effort [on Saturday night].
"It's one step forward, two steps back."
