The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have participated in the NRL Captains Call for the seventh straight year, today's event heralding the start of the 2017 NRL Telstra Premiership Finals Series.

All eight finals teams – Storm, Roosters, Broncos, Eels, Sharks, Sea Eagles, Panthers and Cowboys – came together at ANZ Stadium for the series launch, with North Queensland confirming their place just last night.

Cowboys captain Gavin Cooper made the trip to Sydney on Sunday, facing off this morning against Sharks captain Paul Gallen, representing Sunday's Week 1 opponents.

“This will no doubt be an incredible Finals Series and we want as many of our supporters as possible to experience it,” NRL Chief Executive Officer Todd Greenberg said.

“We have taken a fan-first approach, with affordable tickets, special food and beverage packages, integrated transport as well as interactive game day activations.

“Our stars deserve to have as many people as possible watching them in the most important matches of the season.”
