Over 150 business men and women joined the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and the Townsville Chamber of Commerce this week for their inaugural joint corporate networking forum at The Ville Resort – Casino.

With the event theme of "Leadership and success – on and off the field", corporate members heard from Cowboys head coach Paul Green and CEO Greg Tonner on the leadership strategy of the North’s premiership-winning NRL club.

Cowboys corporate partnerships manager Dean Payne said the event was a huge success with the potential to become an annual event.

“This was our first combined event with the Townsville Chamber of Commerce and it was really well received by our corporate members, and the broader Townsville business community,” Payne said.

“It was a unique opportunity to hear from our leaders, providing an insight into the club’s strategy and the practical application this can have across all industries.”

Townsville Chamber of Commerce President Troy Popham and CEO Marie-Claude Brown also addressed the room, with advice on how to succeed in an ever-changing local economy.

Attendance at the event was included in the range of benefits for 2017 Cowboys corporate members – with great corporate hospitality packages still available for this season, talk to Dean Payne or Brent Tate about joining today!
