Coach Aaron Payne will take an unchanged lineup into this evening's Round 5 National Youth Competition match between the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Payne welcomes fullback Kalyn Ponga back to the side after the recently turned 19-year-old spent the past two weeks in Paul Green’s NRL team.

But with the return from injury of incumbent No.1 Lachlan Coote to Green’s team, Ponga comes back into Payne’s side as the young Cowboys shoot for four wins from as many games.

It will be the team’s first hitout in a fortnight after a planned Round 4 match on the Gold Coast versus the Titans was postponed due to flight cancellations.

Nathan Traill moves from fullback back to his customary wing position, with Kurt Wiltshire dropping out of the 17.

The Cowboys sit near the top of the NRL ladder while Souths have just one win from four matches, but did beat the Cowboys twice in 2016.

The match at 1300SMILES Stadium kicks off at 4.50pm.

NYC Cowboys team: 1. Kalyn Ponga, 2. Michael Carroll, 3. Enari Tuala, 4. Bacho Salam, 5. Nathan Traill, 6. Mitch Dunn (c), 7. Jake Clifford, 8. Kaleb Fuimaono, 9. Calum Gahan, 10. Emry Pere, 11.
