Illness and injury have forced coach Aaron Payne to make two personnel changes as his North Queensland Toyota Cowboys under-20s prepare to play Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval this afternoon.

In the clash of team No.2 on the ladder versus team No.7, Payne and his coaching staff have tweaked their lineup as the Cowboys continue their surge towards a top-two finish for the regular season.

Back-rower Hiale Roycroft drops out of the team, with Cody Maughan moving into the starting side from the interchange bench.

Corey Horsburgh comes in from outside the originally named 17 to come off the bench.

Winger Marcus Jensen has been ruled out with illness and his spot will be taken by Nathan Traill.

This afternoon’s game kicks off at 1.45pm.

Cowboys: 1 Gideon Gela-Mosby, 2 Michael Carroll, 3 Bacho Salam, 4 Enari Tuala, 19 Nathan Traill, 6 Kalyn Ponga, 7 Jacob Bourke, 8 Darryn Schonig, 9 Brandon Smith (c), 10 Ross Bella, 11 Emry Pere, 15 Cody Maughan, 13 Tahanui Tutavake. Interchange: 14 Duarne Dempsey, 16 Kaleb Fuimaono, 17 Nick Lui Toso, 18 Corey Horsburgh.
