The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have run out out winners 24-14 against the West Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium in this afternoon's NYC match.

Played in good conditions the game was at times a scrappy affair with the last 20 minutes exhibiting some bad handling from both sides.

Two tries each to Cowboys prop Viliame Kikau and winger Gideon Mosby were features of the game, particularly Mosby's first which was scored with the ball travelling from one end of the field to the other under the posts.

For the most part the Cowboys forwards dominated up the centre of the ruck gaining valuable metres at each opportunity.

All tries were converted by Cowboys half Cooper Bambling who showed confidence in steering the team around.

Cowboys 24 (Viliame Kikau 2, Gideon Mosby 2 tries; Cooper Bambling 4 goals)
Wests Tigers 14 (Veiru Mapesone, Bayley Sironen, John Tohi tries; Matthew Woods 1 goal)
