The addition of Joel Riethmuller to the interchange bench is the only alteration to the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys squad for the round 13 NRL clash with Parramatta at Pirtek Stadium on Friday night.

Whether Riethmuller plays against the Eels will be determined later in the week when coach Paul Green settles on the final make-up of his reserves’ list.

Rookie back-rower John Asiata has retained his place in the squad of 18 after making his debut against Melbourne on Saturday night, while Robert Lui continues in his new utility role on the bench.

On a congested NRL ladder approaching the midway point of the season, the Cowboys, coming off a 22-0 shutout of the Storm, are in 11th place but only one win behind fourth.

They are one of only six clubs yet to have a bye this season.
