Australian teenage singing star Jai Waetford will treat Toyota Cowboys members and fans to a special performance at Friday night’s Queensland derby between North Queensland and Brisbane at 1300SMILES Stadium.
His performance has been made possible with the great support of Toyota and Sony Music Australia.
Fresh from a month-long national tour with Justice Crew, Jai will be on stage pre-match to perform two songs before joining the crowd to watch the Cowboys do battle with the Broncos in round nine of the NRL.
Now 15, Jai placed in the top three of the fifth series of television series X Factor last year and then signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia.
His debut single "Your Eyes" reached number six – and gold status – on the ARIA Singles Chart and he released his debut self-titled EP in December, peaking at number 21 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
He released a new EP “Get To Know You” in late March with the title track already receiving more than 1.02 million views on You Tube.
Jai will also have a special meet and greet with his North Queensland fans at Stockland Townsville, outside Myer, from 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
