• Lachlan Coote (knee): After rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the opening game of the NRL Auckland Nines, the fullback underwent knee reconstruction surgery early last week. He started physio today and will begin strength and cardio work in six weeks. He will be sidelined for a minimum of six months.

• Rory Kostjasyn (foot): Ligament damage kept the utility forward from Saturday night’s trial against Gold Coast in Toowoomba. He is expected to be available for round one.

• Hezron Murgha (knee): The fullback is continuing with his running program following his reconstruction surgery at the end of last season. He is now six months into his rehabilitation but is not expected to return to the playing field until mid-season.
