Assistant coach David Furner has spoken to the media before the Cowboys left today for their NRL pre-season trial against the Broncos in Redcliffe on Saturday night.

“This game is more about us,” he said.

“I’ve had a quick look at the (Broncos) side and Greeny has had a quick look at their side and as he’s mentioned to the squad, this is about how we play with the structures that have been implemented in attack and defence.

“Greeny and the coaches and players have just talked about going out there and playing your best football.

“Certainly there is a position or two up for grabs and that’s why trials are a good thing – to put players in some situations before round one.”
