North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NRLW Head Coach Ricky Henry has named six club debutants in Saturday’s season opener against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.
Tallara Bamblett, Sian Williams, Emily Veivers and Tayla Curtis have been named to make their NRLW debuts, while former St George Illawarra outside back Margot Vella and Warriors half Lydia Turua-Quedley will make their maiden appearances for the Cowboys.
Bamblett, Vella and Williams will form a new-look back three for the Cowboys. Williams, who was born in Townsville, has come through the Cowboys female pathways systems and shone in the BMD Premiership for the Northern Pride in 2025.
Fran Goldthorp moves to the centres to partner Origin star Jasmine Peters after spending last season on the wing.
Abigail Roache shifts from centre to five-eighth to form a new-look halves partnership with Rosie Kelly.
Turua-Quedley, Curtis and Veivers have all been included on the interchange alongside prop Tafao Asaua.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 5.15pm
