Four things you need to know: Round 26 v Broncos

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys host the Brisbane Broncos in a blockbuster XXXX Derby on Saturday night.

1. A DECADE ON

Up to fourteen of the drought-breaking 2015 grand-final winning Cowboys team will be in attendance on Saturday night, marking 10 years since the club claimed its first premiership. The club legends will do a lap of honour around Queensland Country Bank Stadium at 7.15pm prior to kick-off of the NRL fixture.

2. FAREWELL TRUCK

Cowboys prop Jordan McLean will play his final game of rugby league on Saturday night after announcing his retirement earlier this week. McLean will finish with 242 appearances at NRL level, including 156 for the Cowboys, which ranks 17th in club history.

3. REUBS HITS A TON

Cowboys co-captain Reuben Cotter will celebrate 100 career games on Saturday night. Cotter becomes the 35th player in Cowboys history to reach the mark, six years after making a fairytale NRL debut in 2019.

4. DERBY DAY

The Cowboys will mark the final home fixture of the 2025 season with a blockbuster NRL-NRLW doubleheader. The NRLW kicks off proceedings with a battle against the ladder-topping Roosters at 5.15pm, with the NRL fixture against the arch-rival Broncos to follow at 7.35pm. A sell-out crowd is expected, with more than 25,000 tickets already sold.

Acknowledgement of Country
