Officially the Cowboys' 10,000th member for 2022, Wayne Walters said he locked in full season membership for himself, wife Amy and children William and Bella after experiencing the family-friendly atmosphere of last season’s home games.
“I started heading to the games again last year and loved it, having taken time out from full season membership a few years back,” Mr Walters said.
“The atmosphere, views of the field and entertainment during the Cowboys' 2021 season were terrific, so I thought the 12 home games in the 2022 season would make some great outings for my family.”
“Having tried a few vantage points at Queensland Country Bank Stadium last season, I honestly couldn’t find a bad seat, so I’m looking forward to a great year of footy and supporting our players from our dedicated family seats in 2022.”
The Walters family were presented with a commemorative certificate of membership by Cowboys Membership Ambassador Kyle Feldt at the Hutchinson Builders Centre this week.
“Our members, like the Walters family, are the backbone of our club, providing financial and moral support which makes a huge difference to the club and rallies us every time we run out on the field,” Feldt said.
“Whether supporting us in the grandstands, or from remote locations, our 10,000-plus members show us our supporters are as passionate as ever about rallying the boys to bring their absolute best on the field in 2022,” Feldt said.
“We don’t take this belief for granted and thank all members for their support at the outset of our 2022 NRL Premiership campaign, and hope more will join the membership ranks as the season progresses.”
