Groundswell of memberships starts season strong

Excited voices on the sea breeze, the steady beat of turnstiles and the yelp of the whistle - this is the soundtrack of North Queensland during the National Rugby League season.

With Covid-19 restrictions set to diminish in coming months, Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel said strong membership sales for the 2022 season showed North Queenslanders were ready to ‘get back to the footy’.

“It has been a period of uncertainty to which our members, players, club and sponsors haven’t been immune, but it really seems as if we’re turning a corner,” Mr Reibel said.

“With confidence improving that we’re on our way to a post-pandemic normal and an outstanding 2022 draw of 12 Cowboys games at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, our members appear to be gearing up for a blockbuster year of football,” he said.

Full season membership packages are available for every budget and seating preference, starting at $19 per month for adults and $11.50 per month for children, on 10-month payment plans. Rare premium seats in the Western grandstand are also available in limited numbers.

“From superior seating at the heart of the action to budget-friendly ‘no frills’ memberships, we welcome all new and returning members willing to show their passion for the Cowboys and shore up the club’s legacy long into the future.”

“Membership is truly worthwhile because our members have a significant role in supporting a regional organisation which provides opportunities for young talent to compete at an elite level.”

“Membership is worthwhile because the sights and sounds of our home games throughout the season bring a sense of nostalgia and a chance to share what they love about the game and its true values with their children.”

“Members also know a home game is a great night of entertainment, made even better by the friendships they cultivate with the members they’ve sat next to season after season.”

“Most of all, our members understand our players love running out to a full crowd because it can make all the difference in those games in which the score is tight until the final whistle.”

“Whatever our members’ reasons are for supporting us, it has always been the case that those who wear Cowboys colours with pride are the heart and soul of our club.”

“With full season memberships being snapped up, it’s a good time for people to think about securing their seat for 2022 before they miss out.”
