Dunn presented with Coach’s Award

Mitch Dunn enjoyed a breakout season in 2020 and his efforts did not go unnoticed by Cowboys coaching staff.

The 23-year-old Mackay product was announced as the recipient of the Coach’s Award at tonight’s End of Season Presentation Night at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre.

Dunn had played just 11 NRL games entering 2020, but appeared in 17 this season and ended the year as the Cowboys’ first choice second-rower.

His versatility has long been one of his biggest assets and that was again the case for Dunn in his third NRL season. Aside from starring in the second row, Dunn also spent significant time at centre and five-eighth as well as starting four games on the interchange.

Dunn also registered his first NRL try in 2020, a brilliant solo effort against South Sydney in Round 14.
