Key stats: Round 7 v Newcastle

We take a look at some of the key stats from Saturday's 32-20 win over the Newcastle Knights at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. 


The number of intercepts five-eighth Scott Drinkwater has in the opening seven rounds, the most of any player in the competition. 


The number of tackle breaks made by halfback Jake Clifford against the Knights on Saturday afternoon, equalling his career-high. His 106 running metres fell just one metre short of tying his career-high too. 


The number of tries winger Kyle Feldt has scored in his last 10 games for the Cowboys. The 28-year-old leads the competition in tries (9) for 2020, two clear of Melbourne Storm winger Suliasi Vunivalu. Feldt was also perfect with the boot, kicking 6/6. 


The number of points the Cowboys are averaging a game this season, the second-most in the competition, behind only the Roosters (28.7 ppg). 


The number of post-contact metres Jason Taumalolo had on Saturday, a career-high. It was also the fourth time in his six games this season he has run for at least 250 metres (297m).
