North Queensland Toyota Cowboys centre Dan Russell has been named in the Papua New Guinea Kumuls 9s side ahead of the World Cup 9s tournament in Sydney on October 18 and 19.
Russell scored four tries and averaged 110.6 running metres and 40.3 post-contact metres in 21 games for the Mackay Cutters this season.
The team will assemble in Port Moresby on Monday, October 7
