2019 match-up v Roosters

Cowboys v Roosters

Round 17, Sunday, July 14, Central Coast Stadium

Looking ahead: The Cowboys and Roosters will clash just once in the regular season for the third straight year. Paul Green's men will travel south to take on the reigning premiers at the Central Coast in Round 17.

Roosters' changes: The premiers lose two players from their victorious grand final 17, with Blake Ferguson moving to the Roosters and Ryan Matterson to the Wests Tigers. Paul Momirovski, Sean O'Sullivan, Kurt Baptiste and Frank-Paul Nu'uausala have also moved on. Superstar second-rower Angus Crichton joins the club from rivals South Sydney, while wingers Brett Morris and Ryan Hall have also signed on.

Rosters:

Cowboys squad: Carlin Anderson, John Asiata, Kurt Baptiste, Ben Barba, Logan Bayliss-Brow, Scott Bolton, Javid Bowen, Jake Clifford, Gavin Cooper, Reuben Cotter, Mitchell Dunn, Kyle Feldt, Tom Gilbert, Jake Granville, Ben Hampton, Coen Hess, Corey Jensen, Ethan Lowe, Nene Macdonald, Te Maire Martin, Jordan McLean, Francis Molo, Michael Morgan, Gideon Gela-Mosby, Justin O'Neill, Tom Opacic, Emry Pere, Dan Russell, Matthew Scott, Murray Taulagi, Jason Taumalolo, Enari Tuala, Kurt Wiltshire, Shane Wright

Roosters squad: Angus Crichton, Bernard Lewis, Boyd Cordner, Brett Morris, Brock Lamb, Cooper Cronk, Daniel Tupou, Dylan Napa, Egan Butcher, Isaac Liu, Jake Friend, James Tedesco, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Joseph, Josh Curran, Latrell Mitchell, Lindsay Collins, Luke Keary, Mitchell Aubusson, Nat Butcher, Poasa Faamausili, Ryan Hall, Shaquai Mitchell, Sio Siua Taukeiaho, Sitili Tupouniua, Victor Radley, Zane Tetevano

'Tatey says': I love who they've brought in. Angus Crichton is a great player and I think Brett Morris still has a lot to offer. Guys like Joseph Manu and Latrell Mitchell are all going to be a year older and a year better. There's nothing but positives for the Roosters, they'll be the team to beat in 2019.
