Pre-season training is underway!

It may only be November, but the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys' preparations for the 2019 season are already underway, with the club kicking off-preseason training on Monday morning.

While some of the more experienced Cowboys will enjoy at least another week of holidays, a large portion of both the NRL and Development squads returned for their first hit-out of the pre-season at the Townsville Sports Reserve.

John Asiata, Scott Bolton, Te Maire Martin and Coen Hess headlined the established first graders among the returning cast.

Junior Kangaroo reps Jake Clifford and Murray Taulagi and Junior Kiwi stars Peter Hola and Emry Pere were among the large number of rookies being put through their paces.

New recruit Dan Russell also completed his first session as a Cowboy and will be joined by fellow newcomers Tom Opacic, Kurt Baptise, Ben Barba and Nene Macdonald in the coming weeks.

Acknowledgement of Country
