2019 match-up v Sharks

Cowboys v Sharks

Round 3, Saturday, March 30, 1300SMILES Stadium
Round 19, Thursday, July 25, Shark Park

Looking ahead: The Cowboys and Sharks will lock horns at least two times for the ninth consecutive season. Cronulla travel to North Queensland for the first game of a three-week homestand for the Cowboys in Round 3. Paul Green's men the travel to Shark Park in Round 19 for one of just three Cowboys games in Sydney in 2019.

Sharks' changes: Star second-rower Luke Lewis finally hung up the boots at the end of 2018 after a glittering career. He is joined in the departing cast by Edrick Lee, Jesse Ramien, Ricky Leutele and Joseph Paulo. Veteran centre Josh Morris is the only player of note recruited for 2019.

'Tatey says': The Sharks have lost a lot of experience and a lot of really good players. Some of the departing players, especially Luke Lewis are going to be really hard to replace. I'm really interested to see what the Sharks look like next year.

Looking back: The two sides met twice in the 2018 season, with Cowboys claiming victory in Round 1 and the Sharks triumphing in Round 23.

Head-to-head: Played 46; Cowboys 18 wins, Sharks 28 wins
