Season review: Gideon Gela-Mosby

A flash of #5!

Gideon Gela-Mosby had to bide his time for a crack at the NRL in 2018, but once the 21-year-old received an opportunity he certainly made his mark.

The Cairns flyer took just nine minutes to turn heads in his season debut against arch-rivals Brisbane in Round 22, swooping on a Te Maire Martin grubber to open the scoring.

After failing to cross the stripe against Cronulla the following week, Gela-Mosby scored tries in the final two games of the season, including a memorable intercept to seal victory in Johnathan Thurston's final game against the Titans in Round 25.

Now with eight NRL games under his belt across two seasons, Gela-Mosby will be a leading contender for a wing spot from Round 1 in 2019.
