Hospitality students from the Dream, Believe, Achieve program operated by North Queensland Toyota Cowboys graduated during the 2018 mid-year graduation ceremony yesterday.
After successfully completing the program, 31 students received their certificates and are well on the way to securing employment if they haven't already.
The formal training, delivered by Cowboys major sponsor and training partner Allara Learning, provides qualifications to unemployed and disadvantaged North Queenslanders, enabling them to achieve their goals and re-enter the workforce.
Mentoring support, provided by the Cowboys to students during the program, will continue to be provided to the graduates, to ensure they are successful in their chosen pathways post graduation.
Each year, over 100 students graduate from the program, which is designed to provide a comfortable and flexible environment for students to succeed in their studies and to help build confidence to overcome individual barriers.
This training is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
