Expanding horizons with Dream Believe Achieve

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will expand their award-winning training and employment program to Far North Queensland this year, introducing the Dream, Believe, Achieve program to Cairns from January 2018.

Complementing the region’s thriving tourism and hospitality industry, the program - in collaboration with major partner Allara Learning - will deliver accredited hospitality courses to unemployed and disadvantaged individuals living in Cairns.

Cowboys general manager community Fiona Pelling said the move to Cairns was an exciting development in the program’s ability to reach even more North Queenslanders.

“Our primary focus with this program is to upskill people within our catchment area, so we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to expand and take this program to a new segment of our community,” Ms Pelling said.

“Using our brand and the partnerships we’ve established throughout our region, we’re motivated more than ever to continue helping our community in education and to find long-term employment.”

Allara Learning will formally launch the program with an industry breakfast for Cairns employers, sharing firsthand how the program has helped North Queenslanders gain skills to benefit the accommodation, food and retail sectors.

Allara Learning CEO, Andrew Lewis said the Dream, Believe, Achieve program has made a real difference in North Queensland.

“The Dream, Believe, Achieve program has given both Allara Learning and the Cowboys the ability to make a real difference in North Queensland by providing quality training and aligning with industry partners to secure work experience and long-term employment,” Mr Lewis said.

“The program has had such a positive impact on the Townsville community and we are excited to see it expanding into the Cairns region.”

Established in 2015, Cowboys Dream, Believe, Achieve has successfully helped hundreds of North Queenslanders gain an industry-recognised qualification and find long-term employment.

The Allara Learning Industry Breakfast will be hosted on Thursday 11 January at the Pullman Cairns International from 7:30am-9am. To RSVP, please contact Arthur Burchett on 0415 094 892 or a.burchett@allaralearning.com.au.
