Mimi from Mirriwinni wins Christmas card comp!

Year six Mirriwinni State School student Mimi Arraiza has emerged from hundreds of young North Queensland artists as the winner of the Toyota Cowboys’ 2017 Christmas Card Competition.

Proudly supported by Stockland Townsville, the popular annual competition invited North Queensland’s primary school-aged children – between five and 13 years – to design the front of the Cowboys’ official Christmas card for the year.

This year’s theme was “Christmas in North Queensland”, celebrating everything that's great about living in this part of the world during the festive season.

Having pored over hundreds of entries, the judges – club ambassadors Matt Bowen and Ray Thompson – awarded the main prize to Mimi for her eye-catching design featuring a water-skiing Santa!

Mimi will receive a $100 Stockland voucher and a Cowboys jersey with her preferred name and number on the back.

Congratulations to our other age group winners, who each receive a signed Cowboys football:
• 5-6 years – Oliver Allenden, Jambin
• 7-8 years – Patterson Fink, Townsville
• 9-10 years – Emily Curcio, Mareeba
• 11-13 years – Gabby Ogilvie, Mackay

Thank you to everyone who entered, and merry Christmas!
