A 'ginger' Jake Granville is confident he’ll be fit to take on the Cronulla Sharks in tonight’s Round 11 National Rugby League blockbuster in Sydney.

The lively No.9 made a successful return to the field last week against the Bulldogs after a month off with a broken leg, but a knock late in the game had him hobbling off the field, sparking fears he had reinjured his leg.

But this week, the Rockhampton product said that while he had hit his leg heavily, scans showed no new break, and preparation for the Sharks would involve management plus testing during the week.

“It was pretty sore with a lot of nerve endings around that new bone growth area, but I’m pretty confident I’ll be right,” Granville said.

“I have full faith in our medical and coaching staff to give me the right advice and give me every chance possible.”

Granville was named on Tuesday in Paul Green's main 17.

Kick off at Southern Cross Group Stadium is at 7.50pm tonight.
