The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and major partner McDonald's today launched the first ever official Cowboys burger, with 50c from each purchase going to support Ronald McDonald House North Queensland.

One year in the making, the concept for the new burger is in line with the growing partnership between the Cowboys and McDonald's Australia across North Queensland.

Cowboys fullback and Ronald McDonald House NQ ambassador Lachlan Coote says the initiative will support a great charity, and a great cause as well.

"They support the families and their seriously ill children and do a lot here at Ronald McDonald House," Coote said.

"I know if my boy was seriously ill ... it really puts it into perspective what families are going through and how much the child needs their family to get through those times."
