Having won their opening four games, Aaron Payne’s men enter the Tigers match as last-start 42-18 winners against the Rabbitohs and boasting an impressive 3-0 home record this year.

The team currently sits second on the ladder with eight competition points, trailing just the Panthers on for-and-against.

Payne will be looking for more consistency across the 80 minutes after the Cowboys let an 18-0 lead against the Rabbitohs slip to 18-all, before running away with the game in the second half courtesy of five unanswered tries.

Looking to again lead from the front will be in-form hooker Calum Gahan, who has produced the most turnover tackles in the competition this year (5) and is someone Payne looks to for forward momentum in attack.

Gahan copped a heavy knock last weekend and left the game early, but has been cleared to play this weekend after passing concussion protocol throughout the week.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 5.10pm at 1300SMILES Stadium.
