Canberra area local Josh Chudleigh will make his National Rugby League debut after being named in the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys team to play the Raiders in the nation’s capital on Monday night.

Chudleigh, 22, is in his second year in the club’s NRL squad and earns his debut after showing good form for the Mackay Cutters in the Intrust Super Cup.

His selection is among a raft of changes made by coach Paul Green as the team looks to cover injury and representative selection ahead of next week’s third State of Origin match.

Centre Tautau Moga and interchange forward Ben Spina are due to play their first NRL games for the season, while young back-rower Coen Hess makes his starting debut, in his third NRL match.
