North Queensland Toyota Cowboys coach Paul Green has shown faith in his premiership-winning team by naming an unchanged side for Thursday’s round 3 NRL clash with the Sydney Roosters at 1300SMILES Stadium.

The team had its first loss in an NRL match since week 1 of last year’s finals series when they went down to the Eels 20-16 at Pirtek Stadium last weekend.

Green said it was obvious in which area the team was found wanting against the Eels, and there was certainly no need to panic.

“It was pretty simple where we let ourselves down … we just didn’t hang on to the ball enough,” he said.

“You need to show a bit of faith and they need to feel safe as well, that one bad game is not going to cost them their spot, but in saying that, we also have a standard that we need to play up to too.”
