MACKAY CUTTERS v TOWNSVILLE BLACKHAWKS
7pm, Friday 5 June, Stadium Mackay
Referee: Chris Anderson

The top-placed Townsville Blackhawks are coming off a bye and a last-start loss and will be keen to return to their winning ways when they travel to Mackay to take on the in-form Cutters at Stadium Mackay.

The Blackhawks lost just their second match of the season in round 11 when a tough PNG Hunters side outmuscled them 22-16.

Well-rested after the bye weekend, the Blackhawks (nine wins, two losses) will have the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys quartet of Glenn Hall, Kyle Feldt, Zac Santo and Kelepi Tanginoa to select from, with halfback Robert Lui still recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Cutters (seven wins, four losses) will be high on confidence following their grinding 12-10 win over fellow Cowboys feeder team the Northern Pride in Cairns last weekend.

Cowboys hooker Josh Chudleigh and fellow rake Rory Kostjasyn are set to line up for the home side, with Kostjasyn also named as the Cowboys’ 18th man for the round 13 NRL game against the Eels in Sydney on Monday night.

NORTHERN PRIDE v TWEED HEADS SEAGULLS
5pm, Saturday 6 June, Barlow Park
Referee: Clayton Sharpe

The eighth-placed Northern Pride (5 wins, 6 losses) host the team one spot above them on the ladder and are searching for a much-needed win to stay in touch with the top five.

It will be back-to-back home games for the Pride, who will be keen to erase the memory of last week’s 12-10 home loss to the Cutters.

Ben Spina, Hezron Murgha, Cameron King, Javid Bowen and Patrick Kaufusi are all available for selection in the Pride side.
