Coach Todd Payten had made just one positional change to his North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NYC team to take on Parramatta at McCredie Park in Sydney this Saturday.

Props Viliame Kikau and Braden Uele have swapped jersey numbers from the team that posted a strong 38-6 round 12 win against the Manly Sea Eagles.

Uele goes into the starting 13 in the No.8 jersey, while Kikau will don the No.17 off the bench.

NYC back-rower Coen Hess will not play rugby league again this weekend after initially being called up to play for the Mackay Cutters last weekend but was ruled out with an ankle injury.

Coach Payten said he would be looking for better discipline from his young charges this weekend following a higher than average penalty count against the Sea Eagles.

“We also need to continue to defend strongly like we did against Manly,” Payten said.

“Our attack was a bit stop-start, but in saying that, we did put on seven tries.”

Payten singled out halfback Cooper Bambling, hooker Andrew Niemoeller – who was named man of the match – and lock forward Temone Power as having strong games, while utility Kyle Laybutt injected plenty of enthusiasm off the bench.
