North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NYC coach Todd Payten has made only one change to his lineup for their match against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday night.

Andrew Niemoeller gets his first start of the season after Bill Cullen was ruled out with a broken hand.

The second rower was injured during the first half of the Cowboys' come-from-behind win against Newcastle last weekend.

Payten has no reason to tinker with the squad that has put on 95 points in their last two wins, and currently holds the second-best defensive record in the competition.

The Broncos have also started their season in bright fashion winning both games, and Payten believes this will be a test to see where his team is at.

“The Broncos are two from two but have already played away from home,” he said.

“There is always a good rivalry between the two clubs, so I’m looking forward to how our boys will respond to that.

“It will be a good test, as their forwards are fit and mobile like ours and the backs have pace and skill.”

Kick off at Suncorp Stadium will be at 5.20pm.
